Dr. Khalid Raza is currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. He previously served as an Honorary Adjunct Professor at UCSI University, an Honorary Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia, and ICCR Chair Visiting Professor at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Raza has over 15 years of teaching and research experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and Applications, qualified for the UGC–NET–JRF conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), India, and earned his Ph.D. in Soft Computing and Computational Biology from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2014. He has authored more than 180 peer-reviewed research publications in WoS/Scopus-indexed journals, conference proceedings, and edited book chapters. He has also authored/edited 20 books published by leading international publishers, including Springer Nature, Elsevier, and CRC Press. His cumulative impact factor exceeds 400. Dr. Raza currently serves as an Associate Editor of npj Precision Oncology, Frontiers in Systems Biology, Frontiers in Bioinformatics, Academic Editor of PLoS ONE and BMC Artificial Intelligence, Discover Oncology, and as a Guest Editor for several prestigious journals, including npj Precision Oncology , and Frontiers in Veterinary Science . He has also previously served as academic/guest editors of several WoS-indexed journals, including Natural Product Communications, PeerJ Computer Science , and JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments). He has an active collaborations with the scientists from leading institutions of India and abroad, including AIIMS (New Delhi), ICMR-NIP, CSIR-IGIB, DRDO-INMAS, NIPGR, CCRUM, DPSRU, UFMG (Brazil), UCSI (Malaysia), and several research centres of China. He has received funding for multiple government-sponsored research projects and has served as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) . Currently, three externally funded projects supported by ICMR , ANRF , and CCRUM are ongoing in his research laboratory. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Indian Academy of Sciences Faculty Summer Research Fellowship. Dr. Raza is an active reviewer for numerous international journals and serves as a co-chair and member of review committees for several national and international conferences. In recognition of his scientific contributions, Dr. Raza has been featured in the list of World's Top 2% Scientists for five consecutive years (2022-2026) released by Stanford University (USA) researcher in collaboration with Elsevier. He is also a receipeint of prestigious Clarivate’s (Web of Science) India Research Excellence Citation Award 2025 for his outstanding research contributions in the field of Interdisciplinary Sciences.

He is a Life Member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and Soft Computing Research Society , and Regular Member of Machine Intelligence Research (MIR) Lab.. Dr. Raza has delivered numerous invited lectures and keynote addresses at national and international conferences and workshops.
