Dr. Khalid Raza is currently serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. He also holds positions as an Honorary Adjunct Professor at UCSI University, and Honorary Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia. He was on foreign deputation during the academic session 2017-2018 and served as a ICCR Chair Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Raza has over 15 years of teaching and research experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and Applications, qualified UGC-NET-JRF conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India and completed his PhD in the area of Soft Computing and Computational Biology from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2014. He has authored over 160 peer-reviewed research articles in WoS/Scopus indexed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters. Dr. Raza has authored/edited 18 Books published by leading international publishers such as Springer-Nature, Elsevier, and CRC Press. He has a Commulative Impact Point of over 350. Dr. Raza currently serves as an Academic Editor of PLoS ONE and BMC Artificial Intelligence, and as a Guest Editor for several prestigious journals, including npj Precision Oncology , Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry , Natural Product Communications, and JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments). He has an active collaborations with the scientists from leading institutions of India and abroad, including AIIMS (New Delhi), ICMR-NIP, CSIR-IGIB, DRDO-INMAS, NIPGR, CCRUM, DPSRU, UFMG (Brazil), UCSI (Malaysia), and several research centres of China. He has received funding for multiple government-sponsored research projects and has served as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) . Currently, two externally funded projects supported by ICMR and ANRF are ongoing in his research laboratory. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Indian Academy of Sciences Faculty Summer Research Fellowship. Dr. Raza is an active reviewer for numerous international journals and serves as a co-chair and member of review committees for several national and international conferences. In recognition of his scientific contributions, Dr. Raza has been featured in the list of World's Top 2% Scientists for four consecutive years (2022-2025) released by Stanford University (USA) researcher in collaboration with Elsevier. He is also a receipeint of prestigious Clarivate’s (Web of Science) India Research Excellence Citation Award 2025 for his outstanding research contributions in the field of Interdisciplinary Sciences.

He is a Life Member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and Soft Computing Research Society , and Regular Member of Machine Intelligence Research (MIR) Lab.. Dr. Raza has delivered numerous invited lectures and keynote addresses at national and international conferences and workshops.
