Dr. Khalid Raza is currently working as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science, Jamia Millia Islamia (Central University), New Delhi, India. He is an Honorary Adjunct Professor at UCSI University, and Honorary Research Fellow at INTI International University, Malaysia. He was on foreign deputation during the academic session 2017-2018 and worked as a Visiting Professor (ICCR Chair) at the Faculty of Computer & Information Sciences, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Raza has over 14 years of teaching and research experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Applications, cleared UGC-NET-JRF conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India and completed his PhD in the area of Soft Computing and Computational Biology from Jamia Millia Islamia in the year 2014. He has contributed over 150 peer-reviewed research articles in WoS/Scopus indexed journals, conference proceedings, and as book chapters. Dr. Raza has authored/edited 14 Books published by reputed publishers like Springer-Nature, Elsevier, and CRC Press. He has a Commulative Impact Point of over 300. Dr. Raza is an Academic Editor of PLoS ONE and BMC Artificial Intelligence, and Guest Editor of the Journals npj Precision Oncology , Mini-Reviews in Medicinal Chemistry , Natural Product Communications, and JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments). He has an active collaborations with the scientists from leading institutions of India and abroad, including AIIMS (New Delhi), ICMR-NIP, CSIR-IGIB, DRDO-INMAS, NIPGR, CCRUM, DPSRU, UFMG (Brazil), UoT Sydney (Australia), etc. He has received grants for many Govt. funded research projects and worked as PI & Co-PI. Currently, two funded projects (from ICMR and ANRF) are ongoing in his research lab. He is recipient of the Indian Academy of Sciences Faculty Summer Research Fellowship. He is a reviewer of several international journals, a member of several conference review committees. Recently, Dr. Raza has been featured in the list of Top 2% Scientists released by Stanford University (USA) in collaboration with Elsevier.
He is a member of ACM, Life Member of Computer Society of India (CSI) and Soft Computing Research Society , Regular Member of Machine Intelligence Research (MIR) Lab., and Regular Member of Indian Science Congress Association. He has delivered several invited talks, and keynote addresses in the conferences/workshops.
